Hände voller Geschichte

Visual Identity

Hände voller Geschichte (Hands Full of History) is a historical theme trail created to celebrate the 800th anniversary of the Swiss town of Sissach. Spanning eight locations, the trail shares stories inspired by historical figures whose lives explore themes of work, change, conflict and community through audio narratives accessed via QR codes.

The visual identity centres on expressive hand gestures, inspired by bronze sculptures installed at each station. These gestures become both a navigational device and a symbol of human connection across generations, giving the project
a sense of historical depth while remaining inviting and accessible.

The accompanying website extends the experience with intuitive navigation, transcripts, portraits and historical context, creating a layered journey that
brings local history to life through place, object, voice and digital media.
